(and i'm hungry too)

wanted to post this just now but blogger died. it has, obviously, revived.

i was in my toilet doing my big business when the whirring sound of the grass cutter outside pierced the silence. (it was silent at that time, yes) i dunno why, but it reminded me of racing cars. then it reminded me of the F1 race that's gonna take place in our little red dot. then i tried to imagine these cars speeding round and round in what space they have, and suddenly one of the cars lost its momentum and direction and splashed into the sea. now that's a horrible thought. but nah, i'm sure that there'll be nets bordering our land (and reclaimed land) to catch these 'side-trackers'. or tough barricades planted along the edges. that put my mind at ease and i realised i must be thinking too much, and that, for goodness sake, i gotta mind my own business.

(that's a pun there, by the way.)

my cold medicine's making me drowsy/knocking me out as i slowly fade away into subconsciousness. but hee, i'm still going strong. (as of now anyway) i'm reminded of my readings and somehow i see a parallel between the 2. but enough about readings, i've said alot about them already in my past few entries. i'm currently reading The Shadow of the Wind by a Carlos Ruiz Zafon (fran’s recommendation), but school has been forcing me to read it intermittently, which is quite frustrating. i wish i were back in the hols where i can read in piece. well, more or less, minus the times when my mother keeps asking what i am doing. i figure it must intrigue her what her daughter does glued to the couch (not watching tv, may i clarify) when there's something better to do like playing the piano. which isn't such a bad idea actually but we shall not touch on that for the time being, except that my mother keeps harping on the fact that i will regret it later in life if i keep on this negligence.

anyways, i must mention that it is my dear elsa's birthday. and miss siti's too, my volunteering teacher (no, she does not teach me to volunteer, she's just a teacher at the centre where i used to volunteer at). so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both. it has been a blessing knowing you two. elsa who forgets my birthday and siti who is my unofficial malay teacher and who reminds me via a countdown when her birthday is. ok elsa used to rmb my birthday, to give her some credit here since it's her birthday, after all.

if you guys are free, go youtube and search 'baby ally whatever'. it's the cutest vid i've seen so far. a good waker-upper during lectures. haha.

alright, gotta go. mabel, di, joce, we NEED to meet up before di flies back to neverland.
